Marvel announced X-Men: Prime via Entertainment Weekly, a standalone one-shot that bridges the end of Inhumans vs. X-Men and the start of ResurrXion.

The big book will be  a primer for X-Men: ResurrXion with stories by writers of the 2017 X-books and artist Ken Lashley.

The current Wolverine was among the missing mutants when the books were announced but Laura will be in the  ResurrXion. The one-shot’s cover by upcoming X-Men: Gold artist Aridan Syaf features Kitty Pryde, Storm, Nightcrawler, Rachel Grey now called Presige, Old Man Logan, Young Jean Grey, Young Cyclops, Young Beast, Jubilee, Sabretooth, Young Iceman, Young Angel, Colossus and Laura Kinney, the former X-23 now called Wolverine.

X-Men Editors Daniel Ketchum and Mark Paniccia revealed some updates on the new books:

Jamie McKelvie designed the X-Men: Blue team costumes. Syaf designed the Gold team looks.

X-Men: Blue will feature more new members.

In Jean Grey’s solo comic she will seek out Doctor Strange in preparation for her confrontation with the Phoenix.

A member of the original Generation X cast will return in the new Generation X book but as a villain.

X-Men: ResurrXion begins Spring 2017.
