Marvel revealed a new poster for Iron Man 3 starring Guy Pearce. The actor who played the founder of the “company” in the Alien movie mythology (Prometheus) will make scientist Aldrich Killian come of life on the big screen. Killian is a rival of Tony Stark created in the comic book classic: Iron Man: Extremis. I’m excited to see the scenes between Killian and Stark. Rebecca Hall plays Maya Hansen, another scientist on the frightening science project from nanotech hell.

Robert Downey, Jr will face Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin. Plus, we’ll see Don Cheadle reprise his role as James Rhodes but wearing the Iron Patriot armor in the sequel.

Iron Man 3 arrives May 3.

“Prometheus” End Credits Viral Video

  My mind is still torn and reeling from Prometheus. Several viral videos heralded Ridley Scott’s return to sci fi and helped set up the prologue for the events of the film. There’s a new viral video. The film’s end credits reveal a website with a new video starring Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland.

 

  Thus Spoke Zarathrusta: A Book for All and None is a novel of philosophy by Friedrich Nietzche. This appears to be Weyland to come on stage for his TED 2023 talk.

Jessica Chastain in Iron Man 3?

  Jessica Chastain (The Help, The Tree of Life, The Debt) is back in talks to join the cast of Iron Man 3 according to Deadline. The site reports her busy schedule kept her out of running and now allows for talks to resume. The Oscar nominee would play Dr. Maya Hansen, a scientist who will match wits with Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark.  The film is said to be based on Iron Man Extremis.

Guy Pearce (Prometheus) is in talks to join the cast as Dr. Aldrich Killian, inventor of the Extremis nanotechnology. Ben Kingsley is said to be the main villain.

 After seeing Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland in the TED 2023 viral video I thought he would make a perfect smarmy corporate type to match wits and go to war with Tony Stark. Weyland is the head of the sinister company in the Alien films and behind the mission in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus.

  Variety reports that Pearce may join Iron Man 3 as scientist Aldrich Killian. Ben Kingsley is on board the sequel based on the Warren Ellis/Adi Granov story Extremis. Killian creates nanotechnology that gets seized by terrorists.

  The viral marketing for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has burned up the internet and fired up excitement and curiosity for the film. The TED 2023 film starring Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland revealed the new film’s connection to Alien. A new faux commercial starring Michael Fassbender as Weyland Corp android David is chilling.

Company Man TED Viral Video in “Prometheus”

  The chilling TED viral video starring Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland burned up the internet revealing the connection between Alien and Prometheus. The video was not just brilliant viral marketing, you’ll see it on the big screen.

  “You’ve seen everything you’re going to see out of [the TED Talk], but there were some sections of the speech that were trimmed out, just for economics,” Pearce told MTV News about shooting the viral video. “But there are other viral videos that are going to come out that involve the other characters from the film, with Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender. Mine was just the entrée to bigger and better things.”

  Pearce talked about feeling the pressure while playing the character that connects the films.

  “To a certain extent I’m feeling it more and more now! Every time I do an interview, and someone goes, ‘Sooo… Peter Weyland!’ And I go, ‘Oh god!’” he laughed. “Yeah, there’s a bit of pressure. But look, you’re standing there in front of Ridley, and you’re offering up whatever you can offer up. If it’s not right, Ridley would say. So I just have to trust Mr. Scott there.”

  We now live in a universe in which there are teasers for trailers. Yes I admit my blame in that with this site but when it’s Ridley Scott’s Prometheus I will be exited about any snippet of the long-awaited return to the Alien universe.

  If TED viral video starring Guy Pearce gave you chills…then this teaser will give you thrills. The TED video featured Pearce as the founder of Weyland – the sinister corporation in the Alien movies and revealed the link between Alien and Prometheus films

  Prometheus and Weyland Corporation promotion is taking over the world in a chilling way. The TED viral video starring Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland revealed the link between Alien and Prometheus took over the web.

This Geek’s Opinion: This will likely be the introduction of the artificial person that will be played by Michael Fassbender in Prometheus. Ian Holm played an android in Alien.

  The only thing more dangerous to humanity than the species in the Alien mythology is the evil company and its greedy corporate minions. A new viral video is online starring Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland, head of the shadowy company appearing in the Alien films. It appears on the TED website which hosts special corporate conferences. In this video Weyland is addressing thousands in the year 2023 before the events in Prometheus.

  I think Guy Pearce is pretty mesmerizing in this. Weyland is part inspiring, part menacing as he addresses the conference. Weyland references artificial lifeforms. Michael Fassbender will be playing one in the film.

 

 

  As Weyland shares the Greek legend of Prometheus, it’s eerie to think of how they mirror the events of Alien and of what is said to happen in the new film.

Ridley Scott Reveals Prometheus/Alien Link & Mystery Role?

  Has Ridley Scott revealed the link between Prometheus and Alien. Fans speculated that Prometheus started as a possible sequel or prequel to Alien. The famous director and others have commented that the new film has the DNA of Alien. Scott gave an interview with a Hungarian news outlet that has now been picked up by Coming Soon via AVP Galaxy comes this translation.

  Ridley Scott gives the connection between the two films and reveals the role played by Guy Pearce. It was revealed that Charlize Theron would play a corporate officer. Now we may know her boss.

  “When the first Alien movie and Blade Runner were made, I thought that in the near future the world will be owned by large companies. This is why we have the Tyrell Corporation in Blade Runner, and Weyland-Yutani in Alien. They sent the Nostromo spaceship,” Scott said.

  “The Prometheus is owned by an entrepreneur called Peter Weyland, and is played by Guy Pearce. That’s the connection between the two films, and nothing more. Prometheus is a new film, a new world, and is full of new ideas. And of course new monsters as well,” Scott continued.

Any update on this exciting project is cool news. This could be an early clue about how Ridley Scott will approach a new film set in the Blade Runner world.
